My Medical Check Up Journey

Assalamualaikum

For this upcoming college entrance, as usual, medical check up is a must. I usually done my medical check up at klinik swasta dekat rumah je but due to current not-so-stable economic issue,  I prefer to go to any government health institute for this time around. Moreover, Abah just paid the whole family punya bil telefon which cost more than RM600 a day before that so it makes me feel a little bit guilty to ask for klinik swasta.

So Abah take a leave from his work to accompany me for my medical check up. At first we went to a klinik kesihatan. It was packed with patients in there eventhough it's only 7.30. I have to queue first then wait for my number to be called. When my turn arrived, the nurse told me that one of the procedure needed in my med checkup form cannot be done there. The only government health institute that provide the procedure is HKL. So nak tak nak, kena pegi HKL jugak.

We have to go through traffic jam on the way. Since I'm having sleep deprived lately so I dozed off while Abah drove me there. When I woke up, I do felt guilty for letting Abah survive alone in the traffic jam. I hope the radio accompanied him well. When we arrive there, we keep pusing pusing to find the parking section. You know right how spacious HKL is? Lepas dapat parking, we have to pusing pusing again to find Wisma Rekod for the med checkup.

Unfortunately again, the officer said that the med checkup result can only ready by 9 Sept but my degree registration is on 2 Sept. At that time, I was so frustrated but Abah acted as cool as he could be eventhough he should be mad since he had drove all the way through the traffic jam for nothing.

At last, I ended up doing the med checkup at klinik swasta dekat rumah. Since we arrived late there, I have to wait for other patients first before it came to my turn. I told Abah to went home first and I will called him when I've done but he insisted to wait for me. We arrived there about 10.30 and the whole procedures ended at 1.15 and Abah had to pay RM135 for the examination cost.

You know how the guilty feeling strikes me again and again? Masa Abah terbuang centu je, duit minyak lagi pegi sana sini sedangkan plan asal pergi government hospital untuk jimat duit. So to make up for the guilty feeling, I insisted to treat Abah for lunch which apparently I used his money to pay since I didnt have any income.

When we arrived home, Abah solat and terus tidur which indicates how penat he is actually. There I was standing guilty again T.T Haaah, that was a tremendous journey for a medical check up. Abah is definitely my superhero. He didnt even sighing for a bit. I didnt implying that my Abah is better than your father here but every father is simply the best for their children in their on way right. So, lets appreciate our parents together and never take them for granted since we never know how much more time we have to be with them.
