Assalamualaikum
The most crucial part was to decide nak masak apa. We just decided our courses a day before the competition. I have lots of recipes in my mind but due to the lack of kitchen appliances and time restrained, we decided to make Afeqa's homemade dessert which she claimed that she invented the recipe by her own *rolled eyes* Then, we thought that dessert alone wont be enough to spare us the winning title. Not to mention that, we only use simple ingredients such as bread, custard and cornflakes. So we decided to include a savoury course in our list. Hikmah came out with the idea of Nasi Goreng Cheese inspired by Pizza Hut. None of us ever make that dish before so Google was being super helpful at that time.
After that, we do some shoppings and start preparing for the dessert in advance until 12am. We were tired but it was a fun process and of course we got to know each other better in the mean time.
On the day of the competition, we started to cook at 1pm because the competition would only begin at 2pm. It was a little bit chaotic in the kitchen since nobody ever did Nasi Goreng Cheese before. Yes, I know it is Nasi Goreng but ini bukannya Nasi Goreng yang kita biasa buat kat rumah tu. Girls, do you ever use chicken broth and heavy cream masa masak Nasi Goreng untuk sarapan? Tak kannn. It was a little bit complicated process. Then, I just noticed that I havent make chocolate syrup for the dessert yet and the three of us (Afeqa got some work at that time) start to gelabah itu ini, the cheese wont melt, ikan bilis lupa nak goreng, and it was ALMOST TWO OCLOCK !!!! But Alhamdulillah, everything's under control and sempat siap pada masanya.
Bila sampai dekat tempat pertandingan, we were shocked to be informed that the competition will only began at 3pm. Goshhh, dahlah dekat bilik tu beraircond and both our meals kena makan panas panas, luluh hati terasa. So sementara pukul 3 tu, kitorang pun melantak dululah sebab lapar kot wehhh sambil sama sama patah hati tengok makanan yang kitorang masak dah jadi sejuk.
Lepas tu patah hati lagi bila tengok other contestants punya preparation macam gah gilaaa siap buat dining table. Nama masakan diorang pulak gah gah belaka. Apa yang kitorang ada just makanan yang dah nak sejuk dengan nama kampung which were Roti Goreng and Nasi Goreng Cheese.
At that time, kitorang just redha and semua pun sedapkan hati masing masing kononnya "It's okayy, we enter this competition just to gain experiences."
Then, start laa judging session and we insisted to be the first presenter. We obviously the most cheerful group in there, well first year kan, gaya kanak kanak ribena tak hilang lagi. The judges pun asyik gelak je dengan kitorang sampailah tiba tiba judge ni tanya satu soalan.
Baking is my passion. I do love cooking but not as much as my love to bake. Well, it doesnt really means BAKE, basically I love everything that related to DESSERTS. Dulu lepas habis spm, I watched My Kitchen Rules everyday sepanjang cuti tu. And everytime they made desserts challenges, I'll search for the recipe and try them at home. My boys obviously the ones yang happy gilaaa bila desserts dah siap but on the other hand Abah isnt that happy since the ingredients usually quite expensive. But Angah pandai masak kot Abah. I know you're proud of me kannn. I believe that, at least.
So when I heard that the FoodBio seniors will held a cooking competition, I was over the moon. Luckily I have Afeqa Ahmad who was being super excited as well. Lepas tu dapat pulak paksa Hikmah and Nida' untuk join sekali. So we entered the competition as a team of four.

"Apa penerapan nilai aqli dan naqli dalam masakan kamu ni?"
Amboi, USIM sangat soalannya tu kak. Seriously kitorang terdiam for about 5 detik macam tu then baru dapat brain the question. Ingatkan sudah dah kerja menggoreng nasi tadi rupanya kena pulak goreng jawapan. Then kitorang pun jawab lah itu ini sampailah judges tu puas hati. FYI, judges puji masakan kitorang tauuuu but I believed they actually puji semua contestants punya masakan sebenarnya =_='
The competition ended around 4 but the winner wouldnt be announced at that time. We have to attend the closing ceremony at 8 pm to know the result of the competition. So malam tu the four of us attended the closing ceremony dengan harapan kononnya dapat menang even dah patah hati bila tengok preparation orang lain petang tu. Masa nak umumkan pemenang tu rasa nervous sangat hahaha over je lebih, bukannya pertandingan Masterchef punn.
Guess whaaaat, KITORANG DAPAT 2ND PLACE WEEWOOOOOOO !!! We managed to get 2nd place out of 10 contestants kira okaylah kan. Happy gilaaa tak tipuuu dah habis senyum selebar mungkin sampai ke telinga dah. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This is definitely a moment to remember. I will miss every single details about it.Thanks to Feqa, Hikmah and Nida' sebab sanggup masuk pertandingan ni sama sama. Thank you guyss, I love you all. Looking forward to another cooking competitions after this hahaha :D
